UNPA / New York State Weight Loss / Muscle Building Bill signed into law

Dear Colleagues —
While we were all at SupplySide, New York Governor, Kathy Hochul signed into law S. 5823 which bans the sale of certain dietary supplements and OTC drugs intended for weight loss or muscle building to consumers 17 or younger. This becomes effective in 6 months.
Peter and Trish have provided the attached background memo and a copy of the final bill as passed.
We will have more to say on this, but we wanted to give you an immediate update on this important development.
