Dear Colleagues —
California is at it again. Assembly Bill 418 has passed the California Assembly. It now moves to the Senate. This bill proposes to ban from sale in California about half a dozen specific substances, one of them being titanium dioxide, commonly used as the agent to produce white, two-piece, hard shell capsules. The reason? Alleged safety concerns.
We understand the bill has strong support in the Senate. Should this bill pass, the effect on natural product consumers may be significant, as media coverage would likely make the most of the story that titanium dioxide, among other substances is banned.
Should your company be using titanium dioxide, we will do all we can to keep you informed in a timely manner.
Cordially,
LDI
