Subject: China 25% tariff -- survey of current position
To: UNPA IRACC Committee <email@example.com>
Dear IRACC Committee Members --
You are all aware that the U.S. government has announced it will impose a 25% tariff on an additional $200 billion of Chinese goods as of January 1, 2019. It remains uncertain whether last minute negotiations will alter this stated plan. Quite literally, no one knows at this moment.
We are surveying the committee to assess your current views/actions with respect to the prospect of a 25% tariff increase on the assumption that many dietary ingredients and related materials would be within this $200 billion tariff hit.
Kindly take a moment to respond to the attached, very short, survey and answer all that currently apply to your company. There are no right or wrong answers here.
We will, of course, share the compiled results with a hope this will give you some insight as to what others in the industry are thinking and doing at the moment.
Again, you can find the Google survey here.
