One key difference that sets UNPA apart from other industry trade associations is its remarkably collegial and collaborative membership culture, fostering a respectful and productive business environment. Our unique dues structure, where everyone within each category pays the same, ensures that every member’s voice is valued equally, contributing to a truly inclusive and democratic decision-making process.

UNPA offers two membership tiers: Executive and Science, Technology, & Professional Services.

Executive Membership: Open to companies whose principal business is the manufacture, sale or marketing of natural and organic foods, dietary ingredients, dietary supplements (or equivalents), beverages, ingredients and natural and organic personal care products.

Science, Technology & Professional Services Membership: Open to analytical laboratories, analytical instrument manufacturers, and related technology providers–companies that provide a diverse range of technologies and expertise to the natural products industry.

Vetting and Requirements:

To qualify for membership, companies must demonstrate proficiency in quality management, adherence to recognized industry standards and practices, and an executive commitment to safety, science, and research.

All UNPA members agree to abide by the UNPA Member Policy Criteria.

Our admission procedure requires that companies applying for Executive membership be fully vetted and voted in by UNPA’s Executive Committee. Science, Technology & Professional Services companies must be fully vetted by UNPA’s staff.
