“What the Spec” – What Does It Mean in the Dietary Supplement World – June 2

May 3, 2022

It’s time to continue the United Natural Products Alliance (UNPA) Educational Series. This 90-minute webinar is called “What the Spec” – What Does It Mean in the Dietary Supplement World. This webinar is scheduled for June 2 from 11:00-12:30 MST. Our focus is to help you understand how to write accurate and appropriate specifications in regard to raw material. The presentation will include details for each of the required elements of an appropriate specification as defined by a regulator. Per 21 CFR Part 111.70 a specification must include identity, purity, strength, and composition, and limits for potential contaminants. Are you including all of these elements in your specifications? Are you using the terms as intended? Drug specs are easy. These products are typically 98% pure but what about a dietary supplement ingredient like a botanical?

Join us! It’s going to be good with the below subject matter experts plus a Q&A, time permitting.
